A Small School of Arboriculture

Program goals:

  • get to know the parts of a tree
  • get to know some of the most significant trees
  • understand the importance and role of trees
  • raise the participants’ awareness for the purpose of preserving old trees
  • spend educational, fun and quality time in nature

Expected outcomes:

After participating in the educational program, the participants will be able to:

  • Name the basic parts of a tree and their main functions
  • Identify different types of planting substrates
  • Make seedlings on their own

Participants:

  • children of preschool and primary school age (3 - 14 years of age)

Maximum number of participants:

  • 20 participants

Program duration:

  • 120 minutes

Venue:

  • Trsteno Arboretum and Lokrum Reserve
